Can we bring our own food?

Yes, you can bring all of your food. Some people do both: They want our slooooow smoked meats and they bring in their special dishes.

What are your hours?

Our hours are flexible to accommodate your event. We are not open for “drop in” dining.

Do you serve alcoholic beverages?

You can bring in your choice of alcoholic beverages. We’ll ice it down for you, and even provide a bar (free) if you like. Simple Pleasure does not serve alcoholic beverages.

How many people can you accommodate?

The capacity varies with event type. The general guide is:  inside: seated: 200,  seated & standing: 350-400,  outside & inside: 500-800,  The average event size is 40-125 persons

Do you have a stage for entertainers?

Yes, we have a 1200 ft stage for outside concerts, wedding ceremonies, award presentataion,  graduation ceremonies.  Inside stage, if needed,  is provided by entertainers or rented

Do you allow smoking?

Ashtrays and butt disposal are outside, No smoking inside.

Will you tell our group about the cars?

If you request, we will share with your group a little history of the cars and why it was selected for Simple Pleasures. Some groups ask us to use the cars as “ice breakers” to get conversation started. You’re the coach and running the show, you tell us if and when you want us in the game.

What kind of activities do you have?

Of course the activities used will depend on the event.. Kids from 2-90 are welcome to play with our collection of wooden and tin toys.  Other activities depend on your event. For example, for a family reunion or company picnic we provide badminton, croquet, & frisbee golf and hay rides.  For weddings we’ll help arrange entertainment.  In the cool months roasting marshmallow over our fire pit is popular and fun for all types of events.  For business parties, birthdays, anniversaries we host a get acquainted Reminisce activity that involves everybody but puts nobody on the spot. Among other astivites are:  convertible rides,  car show,  fire works,  and scavenger hunts,  Sundae bar, ice cream, crushed cookies, syrups, candies.
